Colpevolmente mi sono accorto solo oggi ,sfogliando il book che accompagna il nuovo lavoro della E street Band e Bruce Springsteen, che il 17 Aprile 2008 il grande Danny Federici ,tastierista che accompagna il Boss dagli inizi della carriera si e' spento il 17 Aprile 2008 dopo 3 anni di battaglia contro una forma di melanoma.
Colpevolmente perche' a 40 anni non seguo piu' fanaticamente le gesta dei miei eroi ,mi e' passata inosservata una notizia tanto grave per chi ha amato ,ama e amera' questa band e tutto quello che hanno significato per la mia/nostra crescita.
I loro testi e la loro musica mi hanno accompagnato per anni ,dandomi la sensazione di appartenere ad una grande famiglia ,quella degli Springstiniani,che non solo tributa gli onori ad una delle piu' grandi band di tutti i tempi , ma che in occasione dei concerti ti fa sentire a proprio agio ,tra fratelli e sorelle accalcati in 50000 per ascoltare le calde e belle storie dei nostri "zii".
Quindi con le lacrime agli occhi non mi resta che fare l'ultimo e forse piu' sentito saluto a "zio" Danny...ci mancherai.
Di seguito le parole del Boss per la dedica dell'ultimo disco a Danny
"For Danny Federici...If we didn't play together,the E street band at this point would probably not know one another.
We wouldn't be in this room together.
But we do ...we do play together.

Of course we all grow up and we know "It's only rock and roll"...but it's not.
After a lifetime of watching a man perform his miracle for you,night after night,it feels an awful lot like love.
So today ,we say farewell to Dan,"Phantom" Dan,federici,father,husband,friend and lifelong member of the E Street band.
We miss you Dan."

Tutto il rispetto per i due cari estinti... ma non posso scrivere l'epitaffio pe tutti i musicisti che tirano le cuoia... egoisticamente scrivo solo di chi mi interessa piu' da vicino
E ci mancherebbe!...
Io ad esempio,non vedo l'ora che schianti Albano!
